It is in the contemplation of the crucified Christ that all vocations find their inspiration. — St. John Paul II
A desire burned in the heart of St. Clare—to give herself totally to Jesus Christ, the poor and crucified One, who had given Himself totally for her. It was this longing that led her to leave a comfortable life of security for a life of simplicity and self-giving. So it is today in the heart of one called to be a daughter of Clare. Her love for God is deeper than all the other loves of her life, and she knows that she will never be completely happy unless she is completely His.

Applicants: Catholic women between the ages of 18-30 are eligible as applicants to our community. Because a vocation is first and foremost a gift from God, the fundamental requirement is the candidate’s own belief that God is truly inviting her to offer her life to Him in love. She must have the necessary maturity, intelligence, and health--both physical and psychological--to respond fully to this vocation. Other basic requirements include Baptism, Confirmation and at least a high school education.
Let us recognize our truest destiny, our deepest vocation: to be loved, to be transformed by love, to be transformed by the beauty of God.
—Pope Francis
